When you use our (UWC RCN) website and/or are in contact with us, we will process personal data about you. You will therefore find information below about the personal data collected, why we do this and your rights in respect of processing such personal data. Purpose

We collect and use personal data for various purposes depending on who you are, how we get in touch with you and which of our services on our webpage you use.

Below is an overview of different processing activities and the data that we might process in respect of each activity and the legal basis for such.

Communication and contact

We use your contact details in order to respond to enquiries that are submitted to us and to provide you with relevant information in connection with your enquiry. Your answer to these questions is on a completely voluntary basis. The information we collect could include:

  • Contact information; name, email address, postal address.
  • Additional information you submit to us when you make a donation; details of accounting or financial transactions such as credit card, bank account. We do not store this information.
  • A record of any correspondence between you and us

The legal basis for such processing is letter b) and/or letter f) of Article 6 No. 1 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Recruitment

When undertaking recruitment we may process your name, contact details, CV, application, etc. in order to process your job application. This information will be deleted once the recruitment period has ended, or with your explicit consent, we may store the information for up to two years for future job opportunities.

Such processing is based on letter b) of Article 6 No. 1 of the GDPR on implementing measures on the basis of applications with a view to entering into an employment contract. The personal data is collected from the applicant and from the references provided.

The legal basis for such processing is letter b) and/or letter f) of Article 6 No. 1 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Alumni and parents/guardians of former students

After graduating from UWC RCN we may process your personal data for fundraising, engagement and communications purposes. This includes reaching out to alumni and parents/guardians to inform them about events, initiatives and opportunities to support our institution.

For this purpose we store the following personal contact information: full name, e-mail address, postal address and graduation year. Additionally, we may obtain publicly available information relevant to fundraising from a third-party provider, Altrata. We process this data based on our legitimate interest in accordance with letter f) of Article 6 No. 1 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and have conducted an internal legitimate interest assessment to ensure compliance and balance the rights of data subjects. You have the right to opt out of fundraising communications or the processing of your data for these purposes at any time. Please see chapter 4 for contact details on how to exercise this right.

Analytics

UWC Red Cross Noridc’s website uses Matomo for analytics.

We do not use cookies for purposes of analytics and all IP Addresses are anonymised, we do not create a user profile and we do not track you across mutiple days or websites. We use Matomo cloud as our host, this means your data stays in the EU, in servers located in Germany and Ireland. We also respect users wishes to enbable “Do Not Track” in the browser and will not track users with this option enabled.
