Exploring a Dirty Truth
UWC Atlantic College Alumna Ulrika Bjørkstén yesterday visited the College and showed her prize-winning film 'Dirty Waters: Discovering the dirty truth about the future of the Baltic Sea'. It provided a great case study about the problems of international co-operation in dealing with environmental issues. A Clear Winner
Many congratulations to second year student Elisabeth Dietz for taking first place in the Norwegian High School Philosophical Association Olympiad. Students were given a choice of five topics and had to write their essay in English, German or French - not in their native Norwegian. As the final part of their course, the second-year Visual Arts students put on an exhibition of their work. It has been much enjoyed by students, staff and visitors. Volunteering at Laski
Lauren Trumper (UK) came to UWC Red Cross Nordic for the academic year 2014-15 and worked as an EVS Volunteer in the Outdoor Department. Our very own Muxuan Yan was =1st, with Johan Socrates Wind from the Kongsbakken high school in Tromsø, in the prestigious national mathematics competition - the Abelkonkurransen.
